Hello, Bearcat Fan! It’s 11 a.m.: do you know where your ʼCats are? Let’s go to the news …

WBB are tied for No. 6 with Whitworth and Pacific, the latter of which walked away from Swadener’s squad unscathed on Friday (56-71). As we all remember, last winter Puget Sound stymied the Bearcats’ hopes for a conference championship — it took every second of this Saturday’s highly anticipated rematch for (some) revenge to be exacted (63-61). The much-needed victory has kept the ʼCats in shouting distance of the playoffs.

MBB led the Loggers by 12 in the second half of Saturday’s game, but the Tacomans clawed their way back to the W (82-87). Compounded onto their Friday loss in Forest Grove (62-77), the ʼCats are now left with a distressing 0-8 record.

Cole Lindberg (ʼ25) continued to stand out for Mswim as they were stood down by the Pioneers and Loggers. Wswim handily defeated L&C but fell just short of an upset over UPS.

In the world of sport: The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs are set for their second Super Bowl showdown in three years, and from the ever-engaging SEC, a Gamecock’s arena DJ has been suspended for playing music by LSU’s Flau’Jae Johnson’s late father at the two side’s matchup.

Consider in the coming weeks: Speaking for my compatriots in the PPLE department, when will we see a Willamette athletics event where love is the ball, democracy is the net, checks and balances are the concessions and the turf is the turf (the turf can stay in this scenario)?
