Skeet’s Sports Report

Women’s basketball continued the Pioneer’s harsh winter Friday night (69-57), but were out-Foxed on Saturday (64-51). Emma Floyd hit seven threes on Friday, and Ashlyn Ascuena-Mercil pulled down 19 rebounds on Saturday.

Men’s basketball found themselves in a harsh winter as well, falling to George Fox 79-103, and the Pios 85-105. Is a new game plan in order? Jonathan Watts hit 22 points and brought in 11 rebounds against the Pios, and Jack Boydell shot 5 for 9 on three pointers against Fox.

The women’s swim team won first place at the Bruin invitational, with ten events to their name. The men’s team grabbed the bronze behind George Fox and Soka. Alayna Kisiday and Julius Wilhelmi each cleaned up nicely, taking first in their 50- and 200-yard freestyle races. Will the swim team replace the Mill Stream ducks as the most beloved semi-aquatic life on campus? If results like this keep coming in, I should certainly think so.

Jett Starr remains absent from his beloved sports report for mysterious reasons. What could he be hiding? Who is this guy anyway? Anyway, good luck in your finals studies and Sko Cats!
