A student living on-campus became Willamette’s fifth COVID-19 case on September 10. According to an email notification sent out by the University, the “student has been moved to a private location and is self-isolating.” Anyone that was in close contact with the student has already been told to quarantine, and Marion County will be conducting contact tracing. Additional details about the student have been withheld due to Higher Education Coordinating Commission and Oregon Health Authority privacy laws.
Faculty and staff who test positive are still being asked to contact Danita Chapin <dkchapin> in Human Resources, and students who tested positive are to contact Tori Ruiz <truiz> in Student Affairs.
